Vanij Choksi’s love for film making and directing did follow him to college, this burning passion of creating his own work which people could relish grew stronger day by day. With this determination, Vanij decided to make his first student film at Christ University in collaboration with the well-known production house Orpheus Productions. The unprecedented situation of social distancing the world finds itself in didn’t pose as a barrier to the creativity of these young minds possess. Although working alone can serve some creatives just fine, others feed on outside their immediate world of intimate interaction and visual stimulus. During these times the writer had to look inward for inspiration, they had to broaden the fringes of their creative world to fight off creative blocks. After many days of serious hard work, the script was made. This movie has been completely shot indoors, from the homes of the actors. Often limiting the variety in scenes. But despite the constraints, the film was finally made.
The film ‘Everybody Should Like Westerns’ stands tall due to its unique nature and distinctive storyline. The film encompasses a character study of a complex person with particular values and expectations.
